AEW
AEW has now announced the date and location for AEW Battle of the Belts V, the first Battle of the Belts show of 2023.
AEW debuted the Battle of the Belts line of events this year, with four of these TV specials taking place in 2022.
On the November 2 edition of Dynamite, AEW announced a number of live shows, including Battle of the Belts V, which will emanate from Portland, Oregon on January 6, 2023.
The show will be taped at the Veterans Memorial Coliseum. A Rampage taping has also been advertised for AEW’s Oregon debut.
The first AEW Battle Of The Belts show aired live on January 8 from Charlotte, North Carolina. In the main event of the show, Britt Baker defeated Riho to retain the AEW Women’s Championship.
Thunder Rosa and Nyla Rose’s AEW Women’s Title bout headlined Battle of the Belts II, which was taped in Garland, Texas on April 15, but aired the following night.
Battle of the Belts III ended with Claudio Castagnoli defeating Konosuke Takeshita in their ROH World Title match, with the show taped in Grand Rapids, Michigan on August 5, but airing the next night.
The fourth Battle of the Belts event aired on October 7, with FTR defending their ROH World Tag Team Title in the main event against the Gates of Agony.
AEW is currently building to its Full Gear pay-per-view, which will take place on November 19. Check out the announced card for the event right here.
