AEW appears to be making a big play to further its international expansion, having made a big hire for a new position.
The company has hired Shane Emerson to be its Head of Global Programming and Partnership. Emerson started with the company this month.
He had worked for IMPACT in a similar role from 2011 to 2017, and as per PWInsider, was well-liked there and seen as someone who got a lot of international business done.
Now that the world is (kind of) beginning to open up a little bit, talk has ramped up about AEW doing more oversees work and things like that.
There has been a bit of a push towards the India market recently through the booking of Jora Johl in Matt Hardy’s faction on Dark and Elevation.
Khan also recently spoke about the fact that he wants to make Craven Cottage, the home of Fulham Football Club, a home for AEW.
