An update has emerged on All Elite Wrestling’s (AEW) plans for a popular star, with the wrestler now set to receive a big push.
One of the most anticipated matches from the Dynamite Fifth Anniversary show was ruined by interference, with Ricochet and International Champion Will Ospreay attacked by Konosuke Takeshita.
AEW later announced that these three stars will face off in a three-way match at WrestleDream.
Fightful Select, has shared an interesting update ahead of this match, stating that Takeshita being booked in main events and against top stars hasn’t been accidental.
Per the report, Takeshita is expected to receive a “big push” which will see him factored into a major program.
Fightful also noted that this will be Takeshita’s biggest push he’s seen in AEW, with the hope that he will be established as an “upper card talent”.
It was also stated that sources told Fightful that this push could begin in the next two weeks and lead to an important pay-per-view shot, which seems to be his International Title match at WrestleDream, however this wasn’t confirmed.
We will continue to provide updates on Takeshita as they become available.
