AEW coach Billy Gunn has noted that he’s so happy for Baron Corbin following the recent fan reaction to the Lone Wolf at a recent house show.
At the April 29 live event in Paris, France, Corbin faced off against Rick Boogs in singles action.
Videos have emerged showing that the entire building was chanting Corbin’s name, cheering him on to his first WWE win of 2023.
Billy Gunn has now taken to Twitter to celebrate Corbin, retweeting a viral clip of the crowd.
Pleased for the WWE star, Gunn wrote:
There is no better feeling then this in our business. I’m so happy for him
Gunn was notably a WWE Performance Center trainer in 2015, while Corbin was still on NXT.
Corbin broke character to react to the crowd, looking genuinely touched by the reception.
Following the bout, Corbin took to Twitter to note:
Wow!!!
Tonight was beyond INCREDIBLE!! Thank you #WWEParis
I think I have to move here now bc this was a night I will never forget! #wwe
Corbin will learn whether he’s staying on Raw or moving to SmackDown when the WWE Draft continues on Monday’s (May 1) edition of Raw.
