There have been some updates on next week’s AEW Dynamite special Blood & Guts edition from tonight’s July 17 show.
Next Wednesday, July 24 marks AEW Blood & Guts in Memphis, Tennessee and Team AEW was officially rounded out tonight, as well as a new title match being added to the card.
On tonight’s episode of AEW Dynamite, Chris Jericho was hosting a TV Time in-ring segment when he was interrupted by Minoru Suzuki.
Suzuki brought with him a contract to face Jericho for the FTW Championship next week at Blood & Guts with Big Bill and Bryan Keith banned from ringside.
Meanwhile, regarding the Blood & Guts match itself, Team AEW gained The Acclaimed (Anthony Bowens and Max Caster) early on in the show, and by the end of the show, the whole team was known.
When the main event match between Swerve Strickland and Kazuchika Okada broke down into bedlam after a run-in from the Elite, there was brawling all over ringside.
In the end, the final member was revealed as Darby Allin made his entrance from above, dropping from the rafters while Tony Schiavone modified the classic ‘It’s STING!’ call to ‘It’s DARBY!’
Team AEW for Blood & Guts will be Swerve Strickland, Anthony Bowens, Max Caster, Mark Briscoe and Darby Allin.
There opponents are Team Elite made up of Hangman Adam Page, The Young Bucks, Kazuchika Okada and Jack Perry.
