A current AEW star has recalled breaking the nose of a top WWE star during their debut match with the company.
Kevin Owens made his debut in WWE back at NXT Takeover: R-Evolution in 2014, marking the beginning of his WWE career that would go on to span a decade.
In his first match, Owens scored the victory over CJ Parker, who would go on to be known as AEW star Juice Robinson, but he didn’t leave the match unscathed.
Owens suffered a broken nose during the match, and Juice has now recalled breaking Owens’ nose during his debut match.
Speaking to SHAK Wrestling, he said:
“Wrestling’s, it’s one of the things that’s so physical that … the super, super physicalness of it can bring you together.
“It hurt us both. I tore my palm, bridge of his nose cut my palm. I had a hole in my palm and his nose was just destroyed.
“He’s the kinda guy, you could break his nose and there’s a good chance he’ll smile. I don’t mind the physical repercussions of wrestling either and I like people who get physical and he does too.”
Owens recently turned heel on WWE SmackDown, attacking Cody Rhodes off-air at WWE Bad Blood in Atlanta.
