Wrestling fans have reacted to a match from AEW House Rules in largely negative terms after footage appeared online.
The match saw Britt Baker taking on a returning Anna Jay at the Troy, Ohio show on March 18.
Footage from the match was compiled into a highlight reel on Twitter:

Suffice to say, wrestling fandom on Twitter had a few choice words to say about the match.
Here are just a few of the comments:
“This is why the staunch AEW marks are 100% dead wrong when they say #AEW has the best women’s division. I mean, wasn’t #BrittBaker the AEW Female Wrestler Of The Year in ’22?? Because….damn.”
“I thought Britt looked up to Mercedes and Bayley not Charlotte. These 2 might be going even slower than Charlotte and Shotzi did.”
“This is why AEW needs a developmental program. Quit wasting money on Rampage and invest in teaching your talent.”
A number of the comments would be along the theme of this Tweet:
“This is embarrassing to even watch all the way through.”
Among the negative reception, there were positive comments such as this one:
“To be fair, it’s good they’re doing house shows, they need more reps in the ring. I remember when Jay lethal used to move like this. Always looking down at his feet, making sure his placement was right. They just need a better trainer than ratings magnet QT.”
Baker defeat Anna Jay in this encounter and you can read the results for the whole show here.
This would make Anna Jay’s return to active in-ring competition having been absent from television since January.
