Britt Baker Opens Up On Fears During Adam Cole’s AEW Return AEW

Britt Baker has opened up about her feelings during Adam Cole’s return match on the March 29 episode of AEW Dynamite.

Adam Cole had recently spoken about his feelings before his return match against Daniel Garcia, revealing the fear that he would never be able to wrestle again.

His in-ring return came after months off television following a concussion sustained at the June 2022 AEW x NJPW: Forbidden Door show.

Speaking on the Busted Open, Baker addressed how she felt watching her partner wrestler for the first time after nine months, saying:

“I was in the back watching with The Young Bucks, actually. Every single move, every single bump, every single time he hit the ropes, I was holding my breath the whole time because you want it to be perfect, and I was just so scared that something was going to happen.”

Cole would go on to defeat Garcia, bringing the match to a safe end, with Baker reflecting:

“It was such a sigh of relief. I was so proud of him when the bell rang at the end and I couldn’t wait to sprint out there and see him. It really was a pure moment for us.”

She would also share that she had “tried harder than ever” to stay strong for him as they both fought with the possibility that he wouldn’t wrestle again.

Cole and Baker have recently spoken about the good and bad things about working with each other.

Adam Cole has also discussed the plans that had to be scrapped that would have seen Cole, Kyle O’Reilly and Bobby Fish face The Young Bucks.
