AEW Star Remorseful After ‘Violent’ Dynamite Match AEW

The Continental Classic got underway on the November 27 episode of AEW Dynamite with Brody King facing Darby Allin in the Gold League.

Highlights from the match can be seen this news story with being victorious in the first round match.

Following the events of AEW Full Gear, Darby Allin entered the match bandaged up after the car crash that ended the PPV.

King would be dominant in the match, finishing Allin off with a Gonzo Bomb for the win.

In comments made after the match, King showed uncharacteristic remorse towards his opponent, saying on Twitter:

“For the first time in my career, I’m not sure I’m okay with the level of violence I brought to Darby Allin.

“We’ve taken years off each others but tonight he came in at not 100%.

“He was in a car accident on Saturday and he showed up to a match with me on a Wednesday.

“I begged him to stop. I begged him to leave the match and he wouldn’t say no.”

“I know it’s what he would have wanted but that doesn’t make it any easier.”
