AEW commentator and former ROH World Champion Nigel McGuinness has commented on his challenge for Bryan Danielson.
On the September 11 edition of AEW Dynamite, Nigel McGuinness challenged Bryan Danielson to a non-title match at Grand Slam on Wednesday, September 25.
This challenge came after Danielson suffered a brutal beatdown from Jon Moxley at All Out where Moxley suffocated the AEW World Champion with a plastic bag.
Then on the September 14 episode of AEW Collision, McGuinness explained that no one is sure if Danielson will show up for this bout against him at Grand Slam.
On September 16, Nigel McGuinness took to social media to post a video addressing his challenge to AEW World Champion Bryan Danielson. Making a call to action to his fans to pressure Bryan to accept his challenge, the post reads:
The Fragile Countdown begins – let Cryin Bryan know you want to see him in the ring at Grand Slam – #americancoward
Also announced for Grand Slam, Jon Moxley will face Darby Allin for a shot at the AEW World Title, while The Young Bucks will defend the AEW World Tag Team Championships against Will Ospreay and Kyle Fletcher.
