Has Bryan Danielson Received Any Offers Following AEW Contract Expiring Revealed AEW

Bryan Danielson has provided an update on his AEW status, ahead of his major match at the August 25 All In London pay-per-view.

Sunday’s show will be significant for Danielson, as he will leave Wembley Stadium either the face of AEW, or a retired star.

Ahead of challenging for Swerve Strickland’s AEW World Championship, Danielson stated that if he loses to Strickland, he will step away from the ring for good, rather than becoming a part-time star as he previously promised.

In the lead-up to the match, Danielson revealed that his contract was set to expire.

Speaking with Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful, Danielson confirmed that he’s currently a free agent, noting:

“I have no contract right now. I’m not under contract.”

When asked if anyone from outside AEW has reached out to him with an offer, Danielson said:

“Not a single person. People who really know me, know that I don’t look at my phone very much. Even for this interview, the AEW representative and my manager were reaching out to me and (my manager) ended up calling my wife, and then my wife called me to remind me that I had media this morning.

“It’s a blessing and a curse. It allows me to be more in the moment as my with my wife and kids and doing all these different things, but when people want to really get ahold of me, then I’m not available.

“That said, right now, I have 3998 unread text messages, I’m almost at 4000. There is also a lot of missed calls. There could have been somebody in there, but that would require me to go through and look at all my missed text messages.”
