The latest update on Bryan Danielson ahead of his potential match at AEW Grand Slam as Nigel McGuinness had strong words.
To close tonight’s Collision, Nigel McGuinness had his ‘final words’ to Bryan Danielson ahead of their match at AEW Grand Slam, which is still advertised with the caveat of it only happening “if” Danielson is cleared.
Nigel McGuinness took to the stage with a microphone to deride his mortal ‘clam digger’ enemy Bryan Danielson for ducking his challenge and being too cowardly to face him.
McGuinness’ t-shirt that said “Bryan Fears Nigel” also included the hashtag – #AmericanCoward.
Tony Schiavone interrupted McGuinness mid-speech, to essentially praise Danielson and tell Nigel to shut it down.
Schiavone also re-iterated that the entire match occurring hinged on whether or not Danielson was cleared to complete, not that he was avoiding McGuinness.
Nigel however wasn’t having it and told Schiavone to instead to go back to sit down and shut his mouth as he continued his passionate tirade.
McGuinness would go on to walk down the ramp, walk up the steps and enter the ring to tell Danielson he expected him to do the same on Wednesday for the final chapter of their rivalry.
Nigel would go on to passionately declare that after he retired, he would tell anyone who would listen that he was as good as Bryan Danielson – but nobody listened to him or believed him.
But it didn’t matter because two people in the world know that what he is saying is true – himself and Danielson.
At the conclusion of McGuinness’ promo, there was still no answer as to whether Danielson is cleared and no ‘confirmation’ that the match will actually be taking place.
