AEW’s Buddy Matthews Addresses Potential Dominik Mysterio Match

Former AEW World Trios Champion Buddy Matthews has addressed a potential match with WWE star Dominik Mysterio.

AEW star Buddy Matthews recently re-signed a contract with the company, but there is still a dream match fans ask about with one WWE star in particular: Dominik Mysterio.

Matthews is the husband of former WWE Women’s World Champion Rhea Ripley, who was previously in an on-screen relationship with Dominik Mysterio in the Judgment Day.

However, Dirty Dom turned on Ripley and aligned with current WWE Women’s World Champion Liv Morgan at SummerSlam.

On September 18, Buddy Matthews did an Q&A with fans on Instagram Live where he was asked about a potential Dominik Mysterio match. He answered:

“The only way dom would beat me is if I was a chicken tender and he was hungry”

Rhea Ripley is set to challenge Liv Morgan for the WWE Women’s World Championship on Saturday, October 5 at Bad Blood.

Elsewhere on the Bad Blood card, Ripley’s Terror Twin partner Damian Priest is set to face-off with Finn Balor one-on-one for the first time since The Judgment Day split at SummerSlam.
