Top AEW Star Says There ‘Isn’t Much Left’ Of In-Ring Career AEW

A major AEW star has addressed his wrestling future, noting that there isn’t much left of his in-ring career.

With Kenny Omega returning to the ring six months ago after over a year away due to diverticulitis, the AEW International Champion has commented on his mindset for the rest of his career.

Speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Omega has noted that with each match, he’s wearing down the little that’s left of his career.

Noting that he wants to make sure what’s left is “good tasting meat”, he said:

“The (matches) that don’t mean anything, it’s it’s like chipping away at what’s what’s left, and there isn’t much left.

“So I want to make sure that what is left and what the meat that is on the bone still, that it’s a good tasting meat, you know, hopefully.”

Another AEW star expressed a similar sentiment, with Cope indicating that his career “won’t last a lot longer.

Omega is set for a major match at AEW All In Texas, where he will face Continental Champion Kazuchika Okada in a bout which will see both of their titles unified into the AEW Unified Championship.
