AEW Star Challenged To Champion Vs Champion Crossover Match AEW

A current AEW champion has been challenged to a champion vs champion match by a NJPW star ahead of Wrestle Kingdom 19.

With AEW set to participate in the NJPW Wrestle Dynasty crossover event on January 5, there had been some speculation about AEW stars potentially competing at Wrestle Kingdom 19 the night prior.

A big challenge has now been made for a champion vs champion match, with a notable star calling out AEW International Champion Konosuke Takeshita.

Takeshita notably defended his gold against TJP at Friday’s (November 8) Fighting Spirit Unleashed show.

NEVER Openweight Champion Shingo Takagi confronted Takeshita after the match, challenging him to a match at the January 4 Tokyo Dome show.
