AEW President and CEO Tony Khan has explained that Darby Allin could forfeit the TNT Championship coming out of Revolution on Sunday.
Allin won’t be defending the title but will instead be teaming with Sting in a street fight against Brian Cage and Ricky Starks of Team Taz.
Speaking on the AEW Unrestricted podcast, Khan explained that Allin is scheduled to defend the title on the March 10 episode of Dynamite, just three days after Revolution.
That will of course be against the winner of Sunday’s ‘Face of the Revolution’ ladder match with Cody Rhodes, Scorpio Sky, Penta El Zero Miedo, Lance Archer, Max Caster, and a mystery participant.
However, Khan did say that if Allin is unable to defend due to anything that happens in the street fight, he’ll have to forfeit the title, so that could definitely be something to look out for.
Another little detail Khan pointed out is that hanging above the ring for the ladder match competitors to grab will be a physical brass ring.
WrestleTalk.com will of course have live coverage of Revolution on Sunday.
