An AEW star has answered a NJPW champion’s open challenge for a title match at the upcoming Wrestle Dynasty crossover event.
The January 5 NJPW Wrestle Dynasty event will be a big interpromotional event, featuring stars from AEW, ROH, CMLL and STARDOM.
Ahead of the show, IWGP Global Heavyweight Champion David Finlay issued an open challenge, noting that he’s willing to face anyone from any company.
This challenge was answered by AEW’s Brody King, who appeared at Thursday’s (December 5) NJPW World Tag League show via video package.
In the video, King stated that while Finlay was able to turn a carcass into a dynasty, on January 5 he will turn that dynasty back into a carcass.

One day before Wrestle Dynasty, Finlay will defend his gold against Yota Tsuji at the January 4 Wrestle Kingdom 19 event.
Several other AEW stars have been confirmed for Wrestle Dynasty, including Ricochet, who will challenge for the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship at the crossover show.
