AEW
An AEW World Trios Championship match is among four new matches added to the card for Forbidden Door 2025.
Following the Forbidden Door go-home edition of AEW Collision on Saturday, August 23, four new bouts were officially announced for Sunday’s pay-per-view, all of which will be taking place on the Zero Hour pre-show, rather than the main card.
The headline bout of the four matches announced will see The Opps (Samoa Joe, Katsuyori Shibata & Powerhouse Hobbs) defend their AEW World Trios Championships against The Bullet Club War Dogs (Clark Connors, Drilla Moloney & Robbie X).
The two sets of teams had a run-in during this past Wednesday’s episode of Dynamite, taking part in a mass brawl that also involved many of the stars set to feature in the 10-man tag team Lights Out Steel Cage match at AEW Forbidden Door.
Also announced for Forbidden Door’s Zero Hour is an All Star 8-Man Tag Match pitting Hechicero, Josh Alexander and CRU (Lio Rush & Action Andretti) against Paragon (Kyle O’Reilly & Roderick Strong), Yuya Uemura & El Desperado.
Then, in an 8-Woman All Star Tag Match, the Triangle of Madness & Megan Bayne will take on Willow Nightingale, Kris Statlander, Harley Cameron & Queen Aminata.
Lastly, it was announced that Michael Oku would be returning to AEW in his hometown of London to team with JetSpeed (Kevin Knight & Mike Bailey) against Ricochet & Gates Of Agony.
We will provide further updates if any more matches are announced for AEW Forbidden Door between now and when the event starts.
