An AEW championship title has officially been scrapped following last night’s Worlds End 2025 pay-per-view event.

Back at AEW All In Texas, the latest clash in the legendary rivalry between Kazuchika Okada and Kenny Omega took place, with both Okada’s Continental Championship and Omega’s International Championship on the line.

The match would see the crowning of the first ever ‘Unified’ Champion, which led to many believing that the two titles had merged together to form the new Unified Championship.

However, it was stated that only Okada’s Continental Championship was on the line in this year’s Continental Classic tournament, which came to an end at last night’s Worlds End pay-per-view.

The final match of the tournament saw Okada face off against Jon Moxley, with Moxley picking up the win to win the Continental Championship, and win the 2025 Continental Classic.

Following his victory, Moxley is now officially listed on the AEW roster page as the Continental Champion, while Okada remains listed as the International Champion, and the Unified Championship is no longer listed, with the championship officially no longer being recognised by AEW.
