AEW References CM Punk With New Merch AEW

AEW has released new Jack Perry merchandise referencing CM Punk following Perry’s return at Sunday’s April 21 Dynasty pay-per-view.

Perry made an appearance during the AEW Tag Team Championship ladder match between the Young Bucks and FTR, pushing Dax Harwood off a ladder to allow the Young Bucks to win the vacant title.

This marked Perry’s first AEW appearance following All In London, when he dropped the FTW Championship back to Hook.

Perry was notably involved in a backstage altercation with CM Punk following this match, which led to him being suspended, and CM Punk being fired.

The former “Jungle Boy” made his wrestling return in January for NJPW, where he established his “Scapegoat” nickname.

AEW has now released an interesting t-shirt design for Jack Perry.  The design features the word Scapegoat surrounded by broken glass.

This appears to be a reference to previous friction between Perry and CM Punk over an AEW Collision spot using glass.

Perry saying “real glass, cry me a river” to the camera following a spot with glass during his match at All In London, following his and CM Punk’s previous conversations about using glass, led to their backstage confrontation.

This altercation has been revisited recently, with AEW sharing footage from the altercation on Dynamite after CM Punk commented on the incident during his interview with Ariel Helwani on the MMA Hour.
