AEW’s Saraya Credits WWE Star For Character Inspiration AEW

While Cody Rhodes’ name is no longer synonymous with All Elite Wrestling, there are still many star’s in the company with close ties to the “American Nightmare”.

AEW talents such as Ricky Starks and Sammy Guevara are notable close friends of Rhodes, however, there is one star that worked with him prior to AEW that has spoken of the pivotal inspiration he gave them.

AEW’s Saraya worked with Rhodes in WWE before his exit in 2016, however she would arrive to AEW too late to work with him again as he left the company in February 2022.

However, recently she would reveal a conversation with Rhodes from their WWE days that would lead to the creation of entire brand for the two-time Divas champion.

Speaking on Z100’s Superstar Crossover, Saraya would detail the inspirational exchange.

Saraya said:

“We were doing ‘Tribute to the Troops’ and he was Stardust.”

“There was this girl that was looking at me like, but she looked like me. She was gothic or whatever.

“He was like, ‘She kind of looks like you, but you’re a more glamorous version. Like a glampire!’ I loved that so much.

“I don’t think he would even remember that, but I took it, stole it, loved it. He’s an angel and hopefully I get to see him again soon.”

Following Rhodes’ inspiration Saraya would shape her character around the ‘Glampire’ term as well as an entire brand that she has used for blogging and in releasing fashion and makeup products.
