Earlier this week on the 03/11 episode of Dynamite, Nick Jackson was brutally attacked by The Inner Circle’s Chris Jericho, Jake Hager and Sammy Guevera. Following the attack, Nick was taken to the hospital.
Nick had already missed the 03/04 episode of Dynamite through injury. The show took place a few days after the AEW Revolution pay-per-view which saw Nick team with his brother Matt to take on Hangman Adam Page and Kenny Omega.
AEW has confirmed via Twitter that due to the attack earlier this week, Nick will be out of action “indefinitely”. However, the former IWGP Tag Team Champion has been allowed to leave the hospital.

This will likely mean that AEW is forced to replace Nick in the Blood & Guts WarGames style match that is set to take place on the 03/25 episode of Dynamite. Nick was set to team with Matt Jackson, Kenny Omega, Hangman Page and Cody.
It is likely that either AEW World Champion Jon Moxley or Dustin Rhodes will replace Nick Jackson. Both Moxley and Dustin have had issues with The Inner Circle in recent weeks so it makes sense to insert them into the match.
However, some have speculated that AEW could reveal a new star in the match as a surprise debutant. Former WWE stars Matt Hardy and Luke Harper (now Brodie Lee) are both free to join AEW and could appear for the promotion this month.
Speaking of Blood & Guts, the location for the show is not yet confirmed as AEW was forced to announce that the show will no longer be taking place in New Jersey due to the Coronavirus outbreak.
Who do you think should replace Nick Jackson in the Blood & Guts match later this month? Let us know on Twitter.
