It is official. At AEW All Out on August 31, Hangman Page will take on Chris Jericho to determine the inaugural AEW World Champion.
Chris Jericho actually previously noted in an interview that the match would take place at All Out, and All Elite has since confirmed that is the case on social media.

Page earned his right into the match by winning the 21-man Casino Battle Royale on the Buy-In pre-show prior to Double or Nothing.
He was initially planned to take on Pac in a one-on-one bout at DoN, but Pac ended up being pulled from the card due to creative differences.Jericho defeated Kenny Omega in the main event with his new Judas Effect back elbow finish, before Jon Moxley turned up and battered them both.
Neither Page nor Jericho are confirmed for a match at AEW Fyter Fest on June 29 as of yet.
However, Dave Meltzer confirmed in the Wrestling Observer that Jericho will be on the card for AEW Fight for the Fallen on July 13, though he has no match currently announced.
