The full lineups and leagues for the 2024 AEW Continental Classic tournament have now been confirmed.
The tournament kicks off on Wednesday, November 27 in Chicago and culminates at the Worlds End pay-per-view on Saturday, December 28.
Last year’s winner was Eddie Kingston, although he went on to lose the Continental Championship a few months later to Kazuchika Okada who now enters this year’s tournament as the defending champion.
As was the case last year, every match in the tournament will have a 20 minute time limit with no interference allowed.
A win earns the winner three points, while a time limit draw earns both competitors one point each.
As with last year there’s a Blue League and Gold League each made up of six participants who will have one match against each other in the league phase.
After all six people in each league have faced each other, the top two in the rankings based on the points they’ve earned will have a ‘semi-final’ match to decide who advances to the overall final.
The lineups have been confirmed, with the AEW Continental Classic Blue League as follows:
Kazuchika Okada, Kyle Fletcher, Daniel Garcia, The Beast Mortos, Mark Briscoe and Shelton Benjamin.
The Gold League is as follows:
Will Ospreay, Juice Robinson, Brody King, Ricochet, Claudio Castagnoli and Darby Allin.
