Update On AEW Contract Negotiations With Kenny Omega & Young Bucks AEW

Further details of the contract negotiations between The Elite (Kenny Omega & The Young Bucks) and AEW have been revealed.

With a number of AEW contracts due to expire by the end of 2023, WWE no doubt have their eye on key players for Tony Khan’s company.

The status of negotiations for some of AEW’s heavy hitters has now been revealed by Dave Meltzer.

In the new issue of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter (subscription required), Meltzer writes:

“Regarding contract negotiations with the Young Bucks and Kenny Omega, Barry Bloom is the point person negotiating those deals.

“There are a lot of rumors, largely because Konnan said he thought Omega had agreed to a new deal because Omega was working TripleMania, but there’s nothing new to report and Omega’s deal with the time added on for his time off for the injury sabbatical would expire late in the year, while the Bucks deal would be at the end of the year.

“Adam Page’s deal also expires at the end of the year. I wouldn’t read anything into that one way or another past at this point no new deal has been agreed to.”

Barry Bloom has a long-running reputation as an agent when it comes to contract negotiations, having represented the likes of Brock Lesnar, Triple H, Chris Jericho and Goldberg among many other high-profile names in the wrestling industry.
