New AEW Crossover Show Announced

New AEW Crossover Show Announced AEW

AEW Grand Slam won’t be the only show to take place at the iconic Arena Mexico in June, with ROH, CMLL, NJPW and Rev Pro all collaborating.

As recently reported, AEW Grand Slam Mexico will take place on Wednesday, June 18, at Arena Mexico.

Now, details of two further shows have emerged, both taking place at the cathedral of lucha libre.

During the CMLL Informa show, it was revealed that Tuesday, June 17, would see a special CMLL vs AEW & ROH show, taking place the day before Grand Slam.

It was revealed that stars from the Mexican promotion will face off against AEW and ROH names on this three-promotion crossover event.

It doesn’t end there, either, with Friday, June 20, seeing Arena Mexico play host to CMLL Fantastica Mania.

This show will see stars from AEW, ROH and CMLL featured alongside those from NJPW and RevPro.

As noted by F4W Online and Luchablog, one wrestler to feature at CMLL Fantastica Mania will be NJPW’s Shingo Takagi in his Arena Mexico debut.

Takagi teams with Hiromu Takahashi and Titan to take on Templario, TJP, and Francesco Akira.

While matches are yet to be confirmed for the June 17 crossover event or Grand Slam Mexico itself, the official poster features Will Ospreay, Kenny Omega, Hologram, Komander and Metalik.

In addition, Mercedes Mone is the current AEW TBS Champion, NJPW Strong Women’s Champion and RevPro Undisputed British Women’s Champion.
