An update on AEW star Darby Allin’s upcoming climb of Mount Everest amid his ongoing absence from AEW television.

Former AEW TNT Champion Darby Allin has not been seen on AEW television since the end of his run in the 2024 Continental Classic, where he finished the Gold League with 7 points.

Allin was written off AEW television by the Death Riders shortly after the tournament, with the angle being done due to Darby preparing to climb Mount Everest.

Amid his absence, Darby has been training for his climb, which officially started back on April 8.

Adventure Consultants has been tracking Darby and his team’s climb since the beginning of April, and they shared the latest update on his climb today.

Darby and his team reached Chhukhung today, with it being noted that he was doing ‘great’.

They wrote:

Today our Everest Private Team said goodbye to the trekkers and hiked from Pheriche to Chhukhung an elevation gain of 530m. Darby is doing great! It took three and half hours. It was nice and clear day with great views. Tomorrow we are going to continue our acclimatisation with a hike Chhukhung Ri, a nerby hill which is at 5540m.

The Death Riders have continued their dominance over AEW in Darby’s absence, with Jon Moxley recently defending the AEW World Championship against Swerve Strickland at AEW Dynasty.

We wish Darby all the best amid his climb of Mount Everest.
