AEW Star Believes Asuka Is A ‘One Of A Kind’ Talent

AEW star Dax Harwood has heaped praise on WWE’s Asuka, calling the Japanese star a one-of-a-kind talent.

Asuka is one of the most dominant women’s wrestlers in modern WWE history, holding the NXT, Raw and SmackDown women’s titles, as well as the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship following

Speaking on his FTR with Dax Harwood podcast, Harwood compared Asuka’s international popularity to that of the Great Muta’s, noting:

“I don’t know if there’s, since maybe Muta, I could be wrong, but I don’t think that there has been another foreign talent, another Japanese star, who has made a splash over here as well as she has.

“She connects with the fans in America just as well as she connected with the fans in Japan. Shinsuke as well, but man, Asuka. She’s a one of a kind talent for sure.”

After teasing a character change, Asuka made her return to the ring in the 2023 Royal Rumble match with face paint closely resembling her pre-WWE Kana character.

The popular star contributed in the eliminations of Nia Jax, Tegan Nox and Sonya Deville, before becoming the penultimate elimination of the bout.

After Rhea Ripley disposed of Asuka, Ripley eliminated Liv Morgan to punch her ticket to WrestleMania 39.

Ripley has since stated that she will challenge for Charlotte Flair’s SmackDown Women’s Championship at the April 1-2 event.
