More names have been added to the list of stars who will not be re-signing with AEW after their current deals expire.
In February 2025, AEW has seen Malakai Black, Ricky Starks and Miro depart the company.
Starks would go on to be reborn as Ricky Saints in WWE NXT the day after his departure.
It was also recently reported that Rey Fenix is all but WWE-bound, medical results notwithstanding, if he hasn’t signed already.
Dave Meltzer has now revealed more names added to the AEW departures list in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter.
According to Meltzer, Abadon and Nick Comoroto have joined Zak Knight on the list of stars no longer with AEW.
Knight last wrestled for AEW in June 2024, working a dark match, with his departure being reported on March 4, 2025.
Abadon and Comoroto are still listed on the AEW website roster page, although this is sometimes slow to be updated.
Abadon signed their AEW contract in June 2020 having debuted in March of that year.
Their last AEW match took place in December 2023 with a loss to Julia Hart in an AEW TBS Championship House Rules match at Worlds End.
Comoroto made his debut in October 2020 on Dark and was last seen on the August 11, 2024 episode of ROH on HonorClub losing to Lee Johnson.
He would undergo hip resurfacing surgery in August 2024 and was expected to be out of action until 2025.
Tony Khan has opened up on his new philosophy when it comes to releases, revealing that he has adopted a “case-by-case basis” mindset.
