
Spoilers have emerged on AEW plans for an Anarchy in the Arena match at this year’s Double or Nothing pay-per-view.
With a week to go until the May 25 event, there has been a lot of speculation about what AEW has in store for the show’s signature match.
Following Swerve Strickland laying out the challenge on the May 14 Dynamite Beach Break show, there has been some uncertainty surrounding who will actually compete in the match, with there being an uneven split between potential babyface and heel competitors.
Per Fightful Select, the lineup expected for the match itself is Swerve Strickland, Willow Nightingale, Kenny Omega, Samoa Joe and Powerhouse Hobbs vs. Matt Jackson, Nick Jackson, Jon Moxley, Gabe Kidd and Marina Shafir.
According to the report, sources noted that Katsuyori Shibata and Claudio Castagnoli could also be added to their sides respectively.
The report noted that it was indicated that a Kazuchika Okada vs Speedball Mike Bailey Continental Championship match could be slated for the event, with it also being noted that it isn’t unrealistic for think that they may have cameo appearances in the Anarchy in the Arena match.
The latest Anarchy in the Arena match saw the Young Bucks, Jack Perry and Kazuchika Okada defeat FTR, Bryan Danielson and Darby Allin at Double or Nothing 2024.
