An update has emerged on injuries following AEW Double or Nothing, with multiple stars reportedly banged up following the event.
Following brutal matches including Anarchy in the Arena, there has been an update on the condition of the participants on the show.
The Wrestling Observer Daily Update, provided insight into those in the Anarchy in the Arena match, noting that some are “pretty banged up”.
The update also reports that Adam Page had talked about his body hurting after his match against Will Ospreay that saw The Hangman win the Men’s Owen Hart Foundation Tournament.
Page would discuss a difficult couple of years in AEW during the post-Double or Nothing media scrum.
Writing about the “banged up” AEW stars, Dave Meltzer stated that he has not heard that anyone would be out of action for an extended period of time.
He did, however, note that some may be absent from in-ring action for a couple of weeks, although he wouldn’t specify names in the update itself.
On Wrestling Observer Radio, it was reported that The Young Bucks were banged up, with Dave Meltzer and Bryan Alvarez noting that Matt and Nick Jackson aren’t expected to wrestle for a couple of weeks.
The Anarchy in the Arena saw Kenny Omega, Swerve Strickland, Willow Nightingale, and The Opps (Samoa Joe, Powerhouse Hobbs, and Katsuyori Shibata) defeat Death Riders (Jon Moxley, Claudio Castagnoli, Marina Shafir, and Wheeler Yuta) and The Young Bucks (Matthew Jackson and Nicholas Jackson).
During the match, HOOK made a short appearance, having a physical moment on the outside of the ring before departing.
