A WWE Hall of Famer has spoken about a current AEW star who is “one of the best to learn from” helping others backstage at TV.
Speaking on his ARN podcast (subscription required) about Dustin Rhodes, the founder member of The Four Horsemen Arn Anderson said:
“I see him work with the girls and I see him work with the guys at TV, and he bends over backwards to help them and make it make sense.”
With Dustin Rhodes having less than a year left on his AEW contract, it appears that Rhodes’ role as a coach is now a priority as he tones down the volume of his in-ring work.
With this in mind, Anderson would identify the strengths of being a mentor to the future of the business, saying:
“What I try to do is watch a match, see all the positive things that they did, or if there’s just one or two positive things, but you always bring those up at first.”
Anderson would also suggest that boosting confidence is a key motivator that makes constructive criticism easier to offer later.
