# Dustin Rhodes Says He Would Rid The World Of Pat McAfee If He Wasn’t ‘AEW 4 Life’

AEW star Dustin Rhodes wants to rid the world of Pat McAfee, suggesting a course of action at WWE WrestleMania 42.

With Pat McAfee back in the WWE fold and allied with Randy Orton, the announcer has declared that he and Orton are going to “[save the f\*\*king business](https://wrestletalk.com/news/pat-mcafee-returns-wwe-smackdown-randy-orton-attacks-cody-rhodes/)“, while taking issue with Cody Rhodes as the face of the WWE.

Over on Twitter, a fan pitched the idea of a return for Dustin Rhodes at WWE WrestleMania 42 to assist his brother.

Reminding followers that he’s signed to AEW, Dustin Rhodes would pick up the suggestion, revealing that he would “rid the world” of Pat McAfee, [tweeting](https://x.com/dustinrhodes/status/2041218230010720431):

*“I would rid the world of @PatMcAfeeShow. Kick him in the balls so hard. But alas, i am #AEW4Life”*

Rhodes’ suggestion for handling McAfee got quite the response from his followers, with some eager to see the AEW star step back through the WWE ropes.

## Delivering A TKO Blow For WWE WrestleMania 42

Pat McAfee being revealed as the man behind mystery phone calls with Randy Orton was certainly a choice, and one that received a heated reaction on social media, with Cody Rhodes also pointing a finger in the direction of TKO management during his [SmackDown promo](https://wrestletalk.com/news/wwe-backstage-reaction-cody-rhodes-shoot-comments-tko-pat-mcafee/).

The theme would be continued on WWE Raw, with CM Punk also [addressing McAfee](https://wrestletalk.com/news/wwe-raw-cm-punk-heated-pat-mcafee-tko-ceo-ari-emanuel-ticket-prices/), TKO CEO Ari Emanuel and the cost of WrestleMania 42 ticket prices.

Associated with WWE since 2018, and joining the main roster commentary team three years later, McAfee was arguably a breath of fresh air on SmackDown and Raw, sitting alongside the veteran voice of Michael Cole.

McAfee would even step into the ring, with his last match being a loss to GUNTHER at WWE Backlash in May 2025, although this most recent return has seemingly garnered quite a different reaction to his past exploits.

Whether fans will warm to the association of Orton and McAfee, especially with Ari Emanuel reportedly at the heart of the decision over an actual WWE creative direction, remains to be seen.

Rhodes and Punk, both holding championships in WWE, commenting on the whole McAfee situation, is no doubt going to add fuel to that particular fire, doing little to quell any animosity the fans may have when the top stars make their feelings known, even seen through the lens of sports entertainment.
