In the main event of AEW Dynamite, The Acclaimed defended their AEW Tag Team Championships against The Gunns.
With Daddy Ass Billy Gunn pledging to stay out of the fray and stay in the back, it turned out that he didn’t quite keep his word.
After the referee was knocked out of action, with Austin Gunn trying to capitalize he snatched one of the tag team championship belts and was about to attack Anthony Bowens with it.
With Billy Gunn holding Bowens, there was a moment that seemed that Daddy Ass was going to turn on the Acclaimed, instead he himself took the blow by belt.
After the Acclaimed managed to hit a Mic Drop, Max Caster was trying to roll the referee back into the ring before he was attacked by Colten Gunn.
While referee Stephon Smith was barely able to see, he struggled to count a near fall and then finally after Bowens was smashed with the title belt behind the ref’s back, there was new champions.
The Gunns (by hook or by crook!) have captured the AEW Tag Team Championships after some serious referee shenanigans.
