Both numbers are up from last week. Last week’s shows did 817,000 for AEW and 757,000 for NXT, respectively.
Both shows went up against the Democratic debate last night, which had an effect on the ratings. This week was the fallout from NXT Takeover: Portland and featured a main event of Roderick Strong vs. Velveteen Dream.
AEW, on the other hand, had another strong outing as they continue the build towards Revolution. Cody faced Wardlow in AEW’s first-ever Steel Cage match in the main event while Kenny Omega and Hangman Page defended the AEW World Tag Team Championships against the Lucha Bros. on the undercard.
