AEW has announced a change in the announcer line-up for tonight’s AEW Dynamite 5th Anniversary show after one was “attacked in the parking lot”.
The official AEW Twitter account posted about a pre-Dynamite parking lot attack on commentator Taz.
The post reads:
“This afternoon @OfficialTAZ was attacked in the parking lot and cannot announce Tonight’s #AEWDynamite 5th Anniversary.
“Taz is being treated by doctors, @McGuinnessNigel is en route to Pittsburgh & will call tonight’s episode.
“Don’t miss Dynamite’s 5th TONIGHT at 8/7c on TBS!”
It is set to be a big night of action for Nigel McGuinness to step in and call after his physical match against Bryan Danielson on last week’s episode of Dynamite.
Danielson will be in action against Kazuchika Okada where for the first twenty minutes, the AEW Continental Championship and the AEW World Championship will be on the line.
After minute twenty, only the AEW World Championship will be up for grabs ahead of Danielson’s expected main event at WrestleDream.
Currently Bryan Danielson is set to face Jon Moxley for the World Championship at the event next Saturday, October 12.
