It is that time of the week once again where we see whether AEW Dynamite or NXT was able to win their weekly ratings battle. This week, AEW was able to keep the foot on the gas, beating NXT once again.
AEW: 940,000
NXT: 700,000— Bryan Alvarez (@bryanalvarez) January 16, 2020
Dynamite reportedly did 940,000 viewers, almost identical to last week’s 947,000. NXT was also slightly down from last week, bringing in 700,000 viewers.
Last week the talk was about how NXT failed to crack the top 50 in viewership for the night. While the ratings are lower this week, it would appear that they placed in the top 50.
Dynamite featured a main event of PAC vs. Darby Allin with PAC getting the win. He will face Jon Moxley next week to determine the number one contender for Chris Jericho’s AEW World Championship. NXT finished with Bianca Belair winning a battle royal to become the number one contender for the NXT Women’s Championship.
