On AEW Dynamite, a top star put aside current strife in the locker room to take on a formidable opponent.
After a wild match including a high flying spot plus pose and kiss from the Guevaras, the storytelling throughout the match was fascinating.
Guevara without the momentum from prior to the commercial break, Danielson landed a giant shotgun drop kick before initiating his own series of big kicks that Sammy miraculously reversed into a Spanish Fly.
Another nearfall after a massive Spanish Fly off the top rope, the match devolved into desperation as Guevara bit at Danielson’s head.
Charged up by the fans, Danielson was able to rally for a monsterous Psycho Knee turned Guevara inside out, the “kick your head in” portion of Bryan’s offense began.
Getting Guevara into a triangle and continuing to elbow strike at his head, Guevara was out and the referee called the match in favor of the American Dragon, Bryan Danielson.
