Tonight’s July 13 edition of AEW Dynamite featured the reignition of a singles feud leftover from days past between Claudio Castagnoli and Jake Hager.
The pair previously were a tag team for a period of time in WWE in 2013 called ‘The Real Americans’ along with manager Zeb Colter (played by Dutch Mantel.)
After a hard hitting match between the former friends turned foes, Castagnoli came out on top, standing tall after a pinfall victory on Jake Hager.
Hager’s Jericho Appreciation Society comrades Matt Menard and Angelo Parker were at ringside for the match.
Tonight’s AEW Dynamite has already featured a big TNT Championship match between Orange Cassidy taking on champ, Wardlow, an announcement about the location of AEW All Out and a bloody battle between AEW Interim World Champion Jon Moxley and Konosuke Takeshita.
Still scheduled to occur on AEW Dynamite, a AEW World Tag Team Championship three-way match pitting champs the Young Bucks vs. Keith Lee & Swerve Strickland’s team, Swerve in our Glory vs. Powerhouse Hobbs and Ricky Starks and fans will again hear from the Christian Cage and Luchasaurus.
