Check out the video of the move that not only broke a steel cage in tonight’s hard hitting main event but also sent a top star tumbling out!
When Kenny Omega and Jon Moxley faced off in a steel cage on tonight’s AEW Dynamite, there were no holds barred.
Near the end of the match, an enormous V-Trigger from Kenny Omega on Jon Moxley went through the side of the cage, sending Moxley tumbling to the outside and Omega stuck on the side of it.
Whether or not the move was fully intended to go just that way remains to be seen however it is of note that the open cage set the stage for the storyline betrayal of Omega by longtime friend and mentor Don Callis so it was unlikely a ‘botch’.
Thanks to Callis’ interference, Moxley won the match, capturing a pinfall victory over Kenny Omega.
AEW Dynamite is set for a big night in Detroit tonight (May 10) with the massive card as follows:
No Holds Barred – Julia Hart vs. Anna Jay
Open House Rules match for the AEW Trios Championship – House of Black (c) vs. Bandido & Best Friends
AEW International Championship – Orange Cassidy (c) vs. Daniel Garcia
Double Jeopardy Match – Claudio Castagnoli vs. Rey Fenix
Steel Cage Match – Kenny Omega vs. Jon Moxley
