AEW Dynamite kicked off with a massively fun TNT Championship match between Orange Cassidy and champ, Wardlow.
During the match, Wardlow caught Danhausen sneaking around at ringside and quickly neutralized the threat but the distraction leaving an opening for Orange nail Wardlow on the outside, however as the match continued throughout the picture in picture ad break, Wardlow dominated.
Orange Cassidy just would not stay down, being the first to kick out of Wardlow’s F10 and battled back after he was set up for a powerbomb, reversing into a hurricanrana and maintaining control as he pulled out all the stops.
Wardlow was finally able to reverse an Orange Punch into a powerbomb to pick up the pinfall victory and retain his TNT Championship.
Tonight’s July 13 episode of AEW Dynamite features a stacked card including Jon Moxley versus Konosuke Takeshita, an AEW World Tag Team Championship three-way match pitting champs the Young Bucks vs. Keith Lee & Swerve Strickland’s team, Swerve in our Glory vs. Powerhouse Hobbs and Ricky Starks.
