It’s Wednesday and you know what that means. WrestleTalk is here to provide live results and reactions to AEW: Dynamite. Tonight is going to be a big show. Get it?
We’re closing in on AEW: Revolution. This is usually the point where AEW quits dropping news bombs and starts tying up loose ends on their feuds as they head end to pay-per-views. Tonight’s show should see a couple of big angles and some good action.
Here is the advertised card:
- Britt Baker vs. Nyla Rose – AEW Eliminator Tournament
- Rey Fenix vs. Lance Archer – Face of the Revolution Ladder Match Qualifier
- Jon Moxley vs. Ryan Nemeth
- Brian Cage and Ricky Starks vs. The Varsity Blonds
- Hangman Page vs. Isiah Kassidy with Matt Hardy
- Jake Hager vs. Brandon Cutler
- Sit Down Interview with Miro, Kip Sabian, and Penelope Ford
- Sting is looking for revenge
- Paul Wight debuts
The Main Event
Rey Fenix and Lance Archer are battling over a spot in the Face of the Revolution Ladder Match at Revolution. Fenix is doing his usual incredible spots.
The ref is distracted and Rey Fenix gets pulled off the top by Jake Roberts. Rey Fenix then gets back up and dives over Robers onto Archer.
Fenix is going to get hurt one of these days. He landed hard on the floor.
The story in this one is the quickness of Fenix vs. the size and power of Archer. Holy crap, Fenix hits a Spanish Fly on Archer.
Lots of big moves. Archer hits The Blackout and gets the win.
Another great AEW Dynamite in the books. We’ll see you Friday for SmackDown.

Baker vs. Rose
Baker vs. Rose is part of the Eliminator Tournament. Baker threatens to leave and throws a hissy fit.
Nyla screams she’s going to break Baker’s leg again. She gets out of the way of the corner cannonball.
Rose is using her size to her advantage in this one. Rebel keeps distracting Rose. Vickie Guerrero isn’t out for this one to counteract Rebel.
Baker grabs the glove to lock in the Lock Jaw. While she’s got her back turned, Nyla hits a huge chokeslam.
Rebel is in the ring. Rose destroys her with a massive cannonball. She then goes after Baker who had removed the turnbuckle pad. Rose hits the exposed turnbuckle.
Baker goes for the lockjaw, but she can’t get it. She hit a few thrust kick and can’t put her away. A few near falls and some more lockjaw attempts.
Nyla keeps getting out of it. She hits the beast bomb. That’s it. NOOOO. Baker kicks out.
Wow. I’m not always sure kick-outs equal great matches, but these have been shocking. I thought this one was over several times. Nyla Rose hits another Beast Bomb and finally gets the win.

Kenny Omega is doing some manual labor
Kenny Omega is backstage doing some hammering and grinding. He’s building what he and Don call the Moxley Extermination Chamber.
Marvez is there to interview him of course. Kenny says some nonsense and basically he wants to kill Moxley.
I’m not sure what to expect from this match. I think it’s going to be insane.
Hangman Page vs. Isiah Kassidy
Page is attacked by Kassidy at the start of the match. Hardy has TH2 with Kassidy tonight. I assume they’ll be getting involved at some point.
Hangman turns it around and levels Kassidy on the outside. When the action finally gets back in the ring, TH2 distract the ref and Kassidy takes advantage. Hardy grabs his foot and Kassidy yanks his arm over the top rope.
This brings out Silver and Reynolds. They get Hardy ejected. I’m guessing TH2 and Silver and Reynolds will have a feud off of this.
This is looking like a match of the night contender. Adam Page just delivers each and every time in the ring.
Kassidy has gotten a lot better in the ring, but a submission wrestler he is not. He tries to lock in a triangle choke, but it was awful. Doesn’t matter. It is good storytelling from the attack earlier on the shoulder.
Page’s shoulder is hurt. So, he can’t hit the Buckshot. Instead, he wins with the Dead Eye.
After the match, Matt Hardy is on the mic and he says he’s going to hurt the Dark Order. Hardy appears and tosses 5 onto the doctor’s table.
.@MATTHARDYBRAND gets ejected from ringside by @RefAubrey with the assist by @SilverNumber1 & @YTAlexReynolds.

Hager vs. Cutler
Hager and Cutler are doing battle as a result of the post-match attack last week. Cutler is getting in a much better showing than I expected.
Cutler hits a few big moves. He, much like Garrison, gets in a huge dive. He hit two back to back. Hager fights back and puts him away. Hager wins.
After the match, Wardlow and Proud-n-Powerful come down and attack Cutler. No MJF and Jericho. The Young Bucks make the save. They call them out to the ring.
Jericho and MJF’s music hit, but they don’t come. Instead, they show up on the jumbotron. Papa Buck is showing with some fake blood on him. Jericho slams him into the truck with The Young Bucks’s pictures on them.
Matt Jackson comes after them and they pull away in an SUV. In a pretty funny moment, Jackson actually is faster than the truck and just stops. LOL. That segment was straight out of Monday Nitro.
.@BranCutler brings the HEAT!

Miro, Kip, and Penelope Ford
Miro and Kip Sabian are being interviewed backstage by Tony Schiavone. Miro is talking away when Tony gets a note. Someone handed him a note that asks Miro and Kip if they’ll wrestle them at Revolution with a y, n, or maybe on it.
Miro says yes, then goes on a tirade. He eats the paper and spits it at Tony.
Guess we’re getting a new match. It’s Sabian and Miro vs. Taylor and Orange Cassidy.
The Varsity Blonds vs. Ricky Starks and Brian Cage
So far, in this one, the commentary team are talking about Sting getting revenge. Starks and Cage take control until Ricky Starks trips over Pillman and falls out of the ring.
I’m not sure if that was on purpose or not, but Starks sold it like it was. As the match went on, Griff Garrison had a great little run of moves including a big dive to the outside.
In the end, Cage and Starks were too much for the young team. Cage hits the finish and Team Taz wins.
After the match, we get a weird Darby and Sting video package. Darby emerged from a body bag smiling in the video. Sting then drags a body bag out on the ramp and Hook was in it.
Sting points to the rafters and Darby Allin rides in on a zipline. Sting and Darby clean house. Sting hits the Stinger Splash on Cage. Sting hits the Scorpion Death Drop.
While that was great, I would have preferred for AEW to save Sting’s physicality for the pay-per-view.
🦂 ⚰️

Moxley makes quick work of Ryan Nemeth
Jon Moxley kicks off the show. He makes quick work of Ryan Nemeth. There wasn’t a ton to this match.
The point was to get us to the promo after the match. Moxley cuts a terrific promo. He talks about being an addict. He’s addicted to wrestling and being the champion.
He says he’s going to do whatever it takes to be champ again. He says the exploding barbwire match is just too good and too much of a draw for him to say no. This might be the way it goes out, but he’ll love every second of it.
A terrific promo. Then we cut to another backstage that wasn’t so great. Fenix and Archer talk about being partners and then fight. They wrestle later.
#AEWRevolution can't get here fast enough! @JonMoxley is more than ready to challenge @KennyOmegamanX for the #AEW world championship in an exploding barbed wire deathmatch!
