Last night’s AEW Dynamite was a typically packed show, with Wardlow winning the TNT Championship, Christian cutting a deeply controversial promo, and Ruby Soho forgot how to move her arm out of the way of a car door.
Interestingly, according to Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio, we were supposed to get another match on the card, a match we were originally supposed to see last week on Blood & Guts.
The match we saw on last night’s show was Rush vs. Penta Oscuro, a match Rush won, but according to Dave, it was supposed to be a tag match.
He said:
“For the second week in a row, because they wanted to do this in Detroit (at Blood & Guts), they wanted to do the tag match. And then this week they wanted to do the tag match, but either Fenix or Andrade was not ready. I don’t know which one, but it was one of the two.”

Dave didn’t say why either Andrade or Fenix was unavailable, and we won’t be speculating here, but we do know a number of stars missed Blood & Guts due to COVID-19.
If we hear anything more about the reason for the match being changed, we will of course let you know.
