Wednesday April 5 2023 was MJF Day and also gave us a new episode of AEW Dynamite, with the ratings for the show now revealed.
On a show that featured the debut of Jay White and the announcement of AEW All In in London, fans were also able to celebrate the AEW Champoin MJF, who had been given the key to Oyster Bay.
This wasn’t all that the show had in store either, with a championship changing hands and mystery surrounding Christian Cage’s associate.
The viewership for the episode of AEW Dynamite has now been revealed, showing a bounce back from the drop seen on the March 29 episode.
According to Wrestlenomics, April 5’s episode had an audience of 877,000 viewers, compared to 833,000 from the previous week.
It would also hit a 0.30 rating in the 18-49 demographic, making the #6 original cable program for the age group on that evening.
Wrestlenomics notes that:
“Dynamite ranked behind NBA games, Sportscenter on ESPN, Vanderpump Rules and its aftershow on Bravo.”
Overall viewership from Quarter 2 of 2022 is down by -4%.
AEW All Access, which aired after Dynamite, saw an audience of 339,000 viewers, slightly up from the previous week’s episode.
Jay White had received interest from both WWE and AEW and it was recently revealed that talks with WWE had reportedly broken down.
