Former AEW Women’s World Champion Nyla Rose is set to return for her first televised Dynamite match in nine months.
Although Rose has worked Dynamite dark matches over the past few months and appeared on AEW Rampage in October 2023, she hasn’t been on Wednesday night TV screens since the AEW Women’s World Title grand slam four-way eliminator match on September 13, 2023.
That match saw Toni Storm victorious over Rose, Dr Britt Baker DMD and Hikaru Shida, as can be seen in the highlights below this news story.
The June 19 episode of AEW Dynamite sees the return of Rose in The Owen Hart Foundation Women’s Tournament Quarterfinal match.
As announced by Tony Khan, Rose will be facing Kris Statlander in the kickoff of the Owen Hart Foundation Cup.
Rose may have been absent from AEW Dynamite since September, having competed in occasional dark matches, but she has been active over in ROH.
In 2024, Rose has had nine matches to date with her only loss being to Athena in the ROH Women’s World Championship best-two-out-of-three falls tables match in February.
