In tonight’s AEW Dynamite (May 24) opener, Orange Cassidy yet again put his International Championship on the line in the opening bout.
Orange Cassidy faced off against NJPW’s Kyle Fletcher after having previously had a run in backstage at a previous edition of Dynamite whereby Fletcher attacked Cassidy from behind to challenge for the title.
In a hard hitting battle to kick off the show, there were several stunning near falls by which Orange Cassidy’s title reign appeared in danger.
However in the end, the champ was able to retain his title after a huge fight from the big Australian star, Kyle Fletcher.
Ahead for Orange Cassidy, a 21 man Battle Royale at AEW Double or Nothing in order to maintain his International Championship.
After the match, it was announced that Ricky Starks was the second man announced for the battle royal however he was attacked by Juice Robinson and Jay White who vowed to continue to make his life hell.
