AEW Dynamite and NXT continue to trudge through this pandemic with their weekly shows. While All Elite Wrestling’s ratings this week dipped from last week, they still topped NXT.
Bryan Alvarez reported the numbers on Twitter.
AEW: 693,000
NXT: 637,000— Bryan Alvarez (@bryanalvarez) April 30, 2020
AEW was 16th in 18-49 this week, NXT barely off the chart at 51st.

Dynamite managed to garner 693,000 average viewers, down from last week’s 731,000. Meanwhile, NXT also lost viewers, averaging 637,000 viewers this week, down from 665,000 last week.
Alvarez also reports that Dynamite finished in 16th place in the key demographic this week. NXT finished in 51st, just off the top 50 chart. The key demographic is what advertisers look at when decided what to advertise on.
AEW’s show this week featured both semi-final matches in the TNT Championship Tournament. In the opening match, Cody managed to once again defeat Darby Allin, albeit with a flat finish. In the main event, Lance Archer mauled Dustin Rhodes and punched his ticket to the tournament finals. The final match will take place at Double or Nothing.
NXT saw the continuation of the NXT Cruiserweight Championship tournament and an NXT North American Championship match in the main event. Keith Lee was able to retain his title against fellow big man Damian Priest.
Next week’s NXT show will undoubtedly see a rise in the ratings as both the NXT Championship and the NXT Women’s Championships will be defended.
