Former WWE ring announcer Samantha Irvin has reacted to being not-so-subtly referenced on the March 5, 2025, AEW Dynamite.
The moment came during the contract signing between Ricochet and Swerve Strickland, which can be seen below this news story.
With the pair engaging in a bitter war of words, it would be Strickland who would reference Ricochet’s “ring announcer wife”.
The wife, of course, is former WWE ring announcer Samantha Irvin who departed the company in October 2024.
Irvin would share her reaction on Twitter, which can also be seen below this news story, in the form of a GIF.
The GIF features Jada Pinkett Smith at the Oscars in 2022 displaying a look of sassy annoyance.
In that moment, Pinkett Smith had been the subject of a joke from Chris Rock, who would be later infamously slapped by her husband Will Smith.
Irvin has been spotted backstage at AEW Dynamite, though is yet to return to wrestling in any on-screen capacity.
She has, however, taken a role in the BET comedy series Churchy, with the series creator noting her talent as an actor and musician.
