It’s being reported that tickets for this coming Wednesday’s episode of AEW Dynamite are not selling particularly well.
Speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer explained this is probably because the fans are so burned out on big shows, and with Double Or Nothing coming up they’re willing to give this one a miss.
Meltzer said:
“The one thing I saw is I looked at ticket sales yesterday… nobody’s buying tickets to this show Wednesday unfortunately. I think everyone’s waiting for May 30 (Double Or Nothing) as the next big one. When you get shows every freakin’ week or every other week, and in this case it is every week, because they’re running the 5th and the 12th, and they’re running the 28th and the 30th (of May). So it’s tough in the same building.
“Let’s say you’re a traveler from three hours away and you’re gonna go to a big show. You’re going to Blood & Guts, right. You’re gonna go to the pay-per-view (Double Or Nothing), for sure. You’re not going to this coming Wednesday’s. It’s too many trips. So this is gonna be a tough one as far as ticket sales.”

It’s believed the reason for such a big card is because of the upcoming schedule changes ahead of Double Or Nothing.
Here’s the card for this coming Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite:

- Darby Allin (c) vs. Miro – TNT Championship
- Young Bucks (c) vs. Christopher Daniels & Frankie Kazarian – World Tag Team Championship
