Tonight’s July 17 AEW Dynamite kicked off with a nearly 60-minute match and a title change as there is a new champion crowned.

After the opening match between MJF and Will Ospreay to open tonight’s AEW Dynamite, there is a new champion.

In a match that lasted approximately 59:58, Will Ospreay had the opportunity to hit a Tiger Driver on MJF within the final minute, but instead honored his vow to never use the move again after it ‘injured’ Bryan Danielson.

However, after he put down MJF, referee Bryce Remsburg ended up being shoved down, at which point MJF used the Dynamite Diamond Ring to strike Ospreay with the ref unable to notice it.

As the final seconds ticked down, MJF feigned collapse on top of Ospreay and the referee counted to three, leading to a title change.

MJF is now the AEW International Champion, being second only to Jon Moxley to have achieved the feat of capturing both the AEW World Title and International Title.
